Executive checklist: is your organization ready for an ANCI audit?

With the entry into force of Chile’s Cybersecurity Framework Law, regulatory audits are no longer a remote possibility. Organizations operating in Chile must now be prepared to demonstrate not only formal compliance, but real cybersecurity management capabilities.

From an executive perspective, readiness goes far beyond policies and reports. Authorities will assess governance structures, decision-making processes, and how effectively the organization responds to cybersecurity incidents.

Governance and clear roles

One of the first elements typically reviewed is clarity around roles and responsibilities. The organization should be able to clearly explain who leads cybersecurity, how senior management is informed, and how actions are coordinated during an incident.

Effective incident management

Having an incident response plan is not enough. It is essential that the plan has been tested and that people know how to act under pressure. The absence of exercises and simulations often becomes evident very quickly during an audit.

Traceability and continuous improvement

The authority may request evidence of past incidents, corrective actions, and improvements implemented over time. Maintaining proper records and a culture of continuous learning is critical to demonstrating cybersecurity maturity.

Preparing for an ANCI audit should not be seen as a burden, but as an opportunity to strengthen organizational resilience. When cybersecurity is well managed, it becomes an enabler of trust, continuity, and regulatory compliance.
